The Senior and Junior mini school looks to provide high quality support to students to enable them to demonstrate the high expectations that we have of students around their learning, behaviour and attendance. The mini school focuses on learning, behaviour and attendance, the daily learning experience of students as well as other aspects for all students in year 10, 11 and 12 regardless of their needs and complexity. Our mini school team model these high expectations with all interactions with students, staff and parents/care givers. It is a fast-paced environment with dynamic leaders working toward achieving set AIP goals as well as the College vision. All staff work with students as well as staff members on a regular basis to achieve these objectives enhance the students' experience at the College.
We are currently looking to fill two administration leader positions at both our Junior and Senior Schools. The role requires motivated individuals who are willing to undertake the full range of administrative tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of a secondary school. The successful applicants will need to be multi-skilled, have a capacity to be flexible and able to multi-task in a busy environment. The applicant must also have strong IT capacity and be proficient specifically in the use of Excel, Word and Google Suite (Workspace)
Carry out allocated activities and tasks determined by the school consistent with role descriptionAssist senior students to maintain high expectations in their learning by providing high support to enable them to meet these expectations. Engage positively and model high expectations with studentsLead other staff in the completion of administration dutiesParticipate in planning and preparation with the Mini School TeamEnsure rolls are marked by teachersContact parents about student absences. Ensure these are immediately followed up and appropriate attendance codes appliedSupport and advise the year level team in following up students with low attendanceSending absence letters to parentsIssue students with Late Passes and Uniform PassesEmail triage . Communicate and assign people to the actions from emails, collate trends and pass on to the year level leadersData collection and visualisation to support school prioritiesDocument the staged response to interventions and liaise with year level leaders to support student outcomesAssist with the student census twice yearlyCreation of meeting documentsCoordinate and support in the planning of senior information sessionsEnrolment supportAssemblies set up and coordinationSuspension supportPrint student timetablesEnsure student files are up to date with their relevant informationLiaise with and provide information to parents, students and staffAssist with the organisation of school excursions and camps.Participate in professional learning activitiesYou will also be required to undertake any additional duties as requested by the Principal, Mini School Principal and Business Manager Selection Criteria SC1 Demonstrated capacity to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks, including coordinating and supporting others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.
