Senior Java Backend Developer

We are helping one of our Financial Services clients to build out a Squad of Senior Software Engineers.
They can be described as a Modern, Established Financial Services Software company based in Melbourne CBD!
They are fast-paced and with a squad of roughly 20 Engineers, they are in a growth phase!

We are looking for a Senior Level; strong Backend Java Developer.
This role sits in a Development Squad - all up 60 in Tech part of a bigger 200 sized business mostly based in Melbourne.
As a Senior Developer, you'll be very hands-on, able to call the shots, push back if needed, and be a confident decision maker whilst able to help mentor and guide Junior Developers.

Must have experience: Minimum 10+ years experience in a Software Engineering role using the following technologies:Java 17/21, SpringbootStrong Agile experienceStrong communication skillsGit, Team City Pipelines & Cypress Automation Testing (nice to have) What You'll Do: Working alongside a great Development team with strong leadership, you'll work on new features & BAU.Identification, investigation, verification, and rectification of new/document software bugs.Assisting with scoping/planning/development of new/modified features and functionality based on Jira stories.Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for allocated development projects.
