The Opportunity Due to team growth, we are on the lookout for multiple Senior iOS Software Engineers to join Medibank. Working in a cross-functional Squad, you will work to understand our customer's problems and creatively solution concepts to take to market quickly. As a Senior Engineer joining the team, you will have proven experience in fast-paced environments and can take a strategic lens to apply design patterns that result in maintainable codebases with sound coding practices whilst also being hands-on in the tools. You'll take a test and learn approach to shipping fast and frequently and you'll be eager to understand the outcomes of the product before moving your Jira tickets into done. Key Responsibilities Include: Full end-to-end SDLC across iOS App Development. Collaborate with the team to help solve customer problems through deeply understanding the technical capabilities of the platform. Work across the digital and venture teams to assess system requirements and specifications, identifying and addressing any potential issues prior to implementation. Design technical solutions of assigned technology solutions for initiatives. Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot problems, share knowledge, perform code reviews, and process improvement reviews. Create and update application documentation so that support can be efficiently performed and the impact of future change requests can be assessed. Enable the procedures for reporting on the progress of systems development projects, taking action to deal with exceptions, problems, and unforeseen events in a timely manner, escalating as appropriate. Maintain awareness of current Information Security standards and ensure all activities comply with the standards. About You Relevant industry experience in a similar role using Swift for iOS app development. Experience with highly modular architecture and understanding of design patterns. Usage of modern Swift features and keen to use new modern practices. Experience working in an agile team utilizing Scrum or Kanban. Good understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and building high-quality solutions. Any experience with UIKit/SwiftUI & RESTful API consumption.
