The role will support to management of the Mercer Listed Equity and Listed Real Assets funds (Funds).
The role involves providing material assistance to the Equities Assistant Portfolio Managers, and the Head of Equities, Pacific in formulating proposals on manager selection and portfolio construction across the full range of Funds, and in overseeing the Funds on an ongoing basis.
The role will report to the Head of Equities, Pacific and work collaboratively with the local and global equities portfolio management teams to ensure that portfolios align with clients' needs and leverage the benefits of Mercer's global scale and expertise.
Key Responsibilities: Support the senior members of the Equities PM team in manager selection and portfolio construction decisions to deliver on agreed objectives across the Funds.Coordinate and produce analysis and materials presented to the Chief Investment Officer, local and global investment committees, and other key stakeholder groups.Lead and attend investment manager meetings as part of the due diligence process on existing and potential solutions.Manage queries and requests relating to the Funds from internal and external stakeholders.Keep abreast of industry and market developments and best practice through research and through continuing education activities. What you need to have: Relevant undergraduate qualification required, with relevant post-graduate qualification or professional certification preferred.Required to obtain and maintain appropriate licenses and continuing education, as required by Mercer policies and local regulations.At least 4 years' experience working in a similar role in a multi-manager, superannuation fund, asset consultant or research house.A sound knowledge of investment markets and asset classes.Experience in independently managing multiple, complex projects and applying problem solving and creative thinking.Strong analytical skills and the capacity to interpret qualitative and quantitative data.Well-developed communication skills (written, verbal and presentation skills) About us:
