Hoban recruitment is seeking a dedicated Senior Investigator to join the Ethical Standards Group.
Role Details Role Type - Temporary casual position Salary - $76.50 + p/h + superannuation Start - Early March, pending interview and security clearances Location: Brisbane CBD, QLD About the role As a Senior Investigator within the Ethical Standards Group, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Queenslanders by conducting high-level investigations into corrupt conduct and misconduct.
You will also contribute to creating an ethical and transparent culture across the department.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external monitoring agencies, and the Crime and Corruption Commission to manage investigations and provide expert advice on corruption prevention strategies.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead complex investigations into allegations of corrupt conduct under the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 and the PSC's Conduct and Performance Excellence (CaPE) framework.
Provide expert guidance to managers and supervisors on corruption prevention and ethical standards.
Identify and address issues under the Human Rights Act 2019.
Manage public interest disclosures in line with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 .
Liaise with external bodies, including law enforcement and the Crime and Corruption Commission.
Maintain accurate records and case management systems.
Monitor the resolution of conduct matters to ensure timeliness and compliance.
Other duties as required.
About you To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate the following: Proven experience in conducting complex investigations.
Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations or equivalent qualifications/training (e.g., Detective Appointment) Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 , Public Service Act 2022 , and Human Rights Act 2019 .
Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Integrity, ethical standards, and a commitment to promoting transparency and accountability.
Leadership capabilities aligned to the Individual Contributor profile in the Leadership Competencies for Queensland.
Ability to travel to regional centres, including overnight stays.
Eligibility Requirements Must have full Australian Working rights.
Must be able to pass a national police check.
