Your Key Accountabilities The Core Capability Requirements for this role are: Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated server operating system builds for physical, virtual and cloud servers which support business operations of partner agencies.
Plan and manage the implementation of physical servers, virtual servers, cloud servers, and storage infrastructure that is consistent with detailed designs, delivery of self-service portals, and supervise capacity management of virtual server and storage infrastructure to meet current and future needs of partner agencies.
Plan and manage implementation of processes and procedures, tools, and techniques for designing and implementing Virtual and Storage solutions.
Support virtual and storage environments that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with high availability.
Support the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies, and tools to match overall current and future business requirements.
Analyse and resolve system issues within a complex ICT infrastructure environment.
Role Requirements Technical/Operational/Educational Experience Highly Desirable Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Server Infrastructure or Private Cloud (or equivalent certification).
Experience in configuring and supporting current versions of Microsoft server operating system, Active Directory, and Group Policy in enterprise scale ICT environments.
Experience in configuring and supporting the following: o Microsoft DFS/DFRS o SCCM o VMware o ESXi, vSphere/VCentre, View, Horizon o ITIL Foundations o HP ProLiant and HP C7000 o EMC DMX, VMAX, Clarion, Centera, IBM V7000, DS4500, HDS, Cisco SAN switching and Brocade SAN switching Experience in the use of management systems such as HP SIM, IBM Director, and Dell OpenManage.
Experience in some of the following would be highly desirable: Microsoft MOM and SCOM.
IBM TPC, VMware Site Recovery Manager, VMware VCops, EMC SRDF, EMC Mirrorview.
High availability/disaster recovery solutions (HA/DR), Microsoft NLB and clustering.
Experience in configuring and supporting backup and restore systems.
PowerShell or server build automation.
A degree level qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science is highly regarded.
