QIC is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support the Microsoft Cloud and Windows Server technology stacks across the organisation.
This is a 12-month maximum term contract backfilling a current employee who has temporarily moved into a leadership role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to manage and support QIC's technology services as well as carry out all assigned Technology Initiatives.
The role will report into the Cloud Engineering Manager, and you will be helping to execute the strategy and roadmap which will include selection and deployment of technology services, as well as ongoing management, support and delivery of programs of work within the QIC Technology services space.
As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of assigned technology initiatives which will incorporate input into the technology landscape, strategy and budgeting.
Provide technical knowledge into QIC projects and initiatives.
Ongoing management and support of QIC's technology services to maintain high levels of availability, performance, capacity, security and disaster recoverability.
Provision of advice on technology requirements and directions.
The right candidate will have the following essential skills:
Vast experience as a Seasoned Engineer across Cloud TechnologiesStrong knowledge of Microsoft SOE Windows, Microsoft Cloud technologies, including:M365 Microsoft Entra ID Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager Microsoft Teams Microsoft Exchange Online Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS) Azure Virtual Desktop PowerShell, Azure CLI and Bicep Modern SOE deployment using Intune, including autopilot, app packaging & policy configuration.
LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networking.
Experience in Fortinet and Meraki preferred.
Voice and video conferencing Technical security methods (Firewalls, Antivirus, SIEM, WAFs, DLP, Host Intrusion Protection) Windows Server and technologies (Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, Certificate Services, File services etc.)
Advanced technology support and problem-solving implementation in a highly mission critical business environment.
Ability to research and understand various technologies and match these to IT strategies.
