Position Summary: As a Senior Infra Specialist, you will be responsible for streamlining our development and operational processes, leveraging cloud technologies and automation tools to enhance efficiency and reliability. This role will be significant in optimizing and scaling our development processes to ensure that our Guidewire applications and infrastructure are scalable, resilient, and efficient. You will collaborate closely with our software development and IT operations teams to design, implement, and maintain robust automation and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will also be responsible for driving the DevOps strategy, streamlining workflows, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.
Mandatory Skills: Ability to participate and provide guidance during application design using Oracle Database, object Design, Concurrency, Indexing, Views, M-Views User security, Data security, replication, and backup strategy. Experience remediating Security Vulnerabilities in applications, servers, and databases. Strong skills in performance tuning of SQL Queries and Data Masking experience (PL/SQL). Experience with creating and troubleshooting automated deployment pipelines. Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Ansible, Python, Bash/Shell, PHP, Gosu script. Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (IAM, ECS/Fargate, EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Redshift). Insurance domain expertise with Guidewire product experience is a must. Strong knowledge in ITIL framework and AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites (e.g., Service Now, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, PHP, Python, Shell Script, etc.). Experience with debugging production issues. Duties and Responsibilities: As a senior level information technology programmer/analyst, uses advanced principles and procedures of systems design methodology, structured systems design, and automated data processing techniques for new and existing complex Guidewire applications. Implementing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems. Analyze databases for optimal performance and investigate poorly performing SQL statements and offending database sessions. Perform database performance tuning by identifying index candidates, updating database statistics, using appropriate optimization techniques, optimizer hints, and other methods. Monitor database jobs and scheduled processes, perform troubleshooting and provide resolution for any issues with jobs/processes as necessary. Design, develop and implement highly scalable and reliable systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Disaster Recovery Exercise for both Application level and database level support. Debug production issues at every tier of a massive distributed system. Collaborating with the development team to automate the software build, deployment, and testing processes. Qualifications & Certifications (Optional): Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Master of Computer Science. 10+ Years of Cloud Engineering experience with AWS with strong knowledge in DevOps, Oracle Database, and SQL Server. 5+ years of Experience in CI/CD pipeline concepts using the toolsets like Artifactory, Jenkins, OpenShift, Enov8/Ecosystem and Version Control tools like GIT, Bitbucket, and Source Tree. Insurance industry knowledge with work experience in Claim Processes and financial modules. Oracle, AWS Solution Architect, and RedHat Certified Professional. Salary Range: > $100,000
