We are seeking an experienced Senior Information Capability Officer who will provide specialised Information Management (IM) guidance to all City staff in engaging and accessible formats.
In this role, you will leverage your extensive IM knowledge and experience to communicate best practices and requirements effectively, fostering a deeper understanding of IM practices across the organisation.
As a key member of our team, you will cultivate strong relationships within the City, develop and deliver comprehensive IM training materials, and bring our procedures, policies, and work instructions to life.
You will report to the Information Capability and Innovation Leader, contributing to a collaborative environment that thrives on innovation and creativity.
About your new role
The responsibilities of the Senior Information Capability Officer will include ensuring compliance with the Public Record Act and relevant policies, delivering exceptional customer service, and implementing change and communication plans for City CIM initiatives.
You will oversee programs to ensure smooth transitions and stakeholder engagement, while also working on a culture and capability uplift program for all City systems of record.
In addition, you will measure and report on organisational CIM capabilities, engage with CIM regulations to ensure government initiatives are effectively communicated, and collaborate to create new CIM capabilities that resonate with City staff.
This role is not only about managing information but also about infusing creativity into our processes, ensuring we approach challenges with fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.
We're looking for people who have:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience understanding current and emerging Information and Data Management regulations, with the ability to interpret and communicate these effectively to staff and stakeholders.
Experience with creative software or methodologies to design engaging, fun, and informative guides and change communications.
A mindset geared towards innovation, capable of generating fresh ideas and solutions to complex challenges in Information and Data Management.
A proven track record in delivering outstanding customer service, with the ability to understand and address their needs effectively.
Ability to identify, engage, and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups and foster strong relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with capacity to convey complex information clearly and engagingly.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adjusting strategies and approaches in response to evolving needs and challenges.
