To coordinate and process the release of information functions of Townsville Hospital and Health Service including requests for information via release mechanisms such as Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld), Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld), Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 (Qld) and Administrative Access Scheme.
Role requirements It is recommended that the successful applicant understand, interpret, and apply policy and legislation under the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld), Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) and Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 (Qld) (Part 7, Division 1 and 2).Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and improvement activities that enhance the delivery of service within THHS.The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Demonstrated knowledge of State and Commonwealth legislation and policies relating to access and disclosure of information.Demonstrated experience and ability to process release of information applications under the relevant legislations, including Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld), Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) and Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 (Qld) (Part 7, Division 1 and 2).Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, including internal stakeholders, other government departments and members of the public, whilst ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy, and discretion.Demonstrated ability to prioritise work to meet statutory deadlines and a high degree of initiative, decision making ability and negotiation skills with the ability to operate with limited supervision.Knowledge of current information systems (e.g. HBCIS, Auslab, ieMR, MOSAIQ, MediWeb, CIMHA, Microsoft suite) as well as specific Release of Information supporting software such as Redax, ROI Database are highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to apply and adhere to organisational policies and a commitment to organisational values and goals.Please refer to the Role Description for further details. Generous remuneration package value up to $131,052 p.a. comprising:
Salary range of $4046.40 to $4402.60 p.f. (AO5)4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Why make the change?
