Airbus Australia has an opportunity for a Senior Industrial Relations (IR) Partner to join our team in either Brisbane (Pinkenba) or Sydney (Richmond or Bankstown).
This position is responsible for leading all Industrial and Employee Relations (IR/ER) matters across Airbus Pacific (Australia & New Zealand).
About the role Reporting directly to the Vice President HR & Workplace, and acting as the key Industrial Relations lead for all IR/ER Matters across Airbus Pacific, the position holder will be primarily responsible for leading a diverse range of cases and key IR/ER activities whilst supporting key business stakeholders in management of IR/ER cases.
Additionally, the position holder will be responsible for supporting people leaders with workplace investigations and other case management, providing a high level of advice on people matters.

Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) negotiations and interpretationsDisciplinary measures, andCollective and individual agreement mattersSome of your day-to-day activities will include but are not limited to:
Review and maintain the IR Framework in collaboration with the VP HR & Workplace while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations though regular monitoring changes in labour laws, regulations and employee related legislationProvide timely professional and accurate advice on the interpretation and application of industrial, and other relevant legislation frameworks to both business leaders and supporting the Senior HR Business PartnersProvide regular updates/briefings to both Business Leaders and HR Operational team on any key legislative changesPresent and engage in all Disciplinary Committee matters, where required.Empower and support the HR Operational team to achieve their KPIs and service targets surrounding ER/IR mattersDevelop and execute specialist strategic planning for Enterprise Agreement negotiationCreate multi-levelled solutions to ensure business wide compliance with ER/IR changes amongst the legislative environmentAbout you To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a high-performance multinational organisation, have exceptional stakeholder engagement, collaboration and expectation management skills as well as excellent verbal and written skills.
You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.
You will have strong business acumen and be someone who is able to foster effective relationships with key stakeholders and external parties including, unions.
The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role include:
Degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Law or similarMinimum 5 years' experience in Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, Legal, HR Business Partner or similarStrong experience with consulting, influencing and advisory skills with an ability to resolve IR/ER issues between stakeholders both internally and externally of AirbusDetailed knowledge of current employment legislation, keeping up to date with emerging issues and changesExperience in implementing and/or maintaining IR framework and HR Policy, and experience in negotiating EBAs across a complex matrix structured businessExperience in coaching and guiding HR Business Partners, Functional Managers and/or Employees through complex ER/IR processes and systemsIt would be desirable that you also have:
