Our client is a leading global health and well-being company with a substantial footprint in Australia and a regional ANZ head office in Melbourne. They are now seeking a Senior Legal Adviser with a focus on Aged Care.
The Role
You will demonstrate relevant experience at Senior Associate level or above at a reputable Australian firm or in-house experience as a senior lawyer. Key responsibilities include:
Managing, overseeing and providing legal advice in respect of health and medical matters.
Legal advice to the Aged Care Team.
Corporate and Regulatory Liaison. The role will provide support to the Legal Director to maintain the necessary formal relationships between the APAC Team
Advice to Senior Management (including the Business Unit Leadership Teams and the APAC Market Unit Executive Team). This role will support the Legal Director on the Aged Care division and the APAC Market Unit Executive Team on medical and health law.
Industry Contracting. This role will provide legal advice in respect of industry specific contracting arrangements for care services (such as residents agreements and retirement villages agreements);
Coronial Inquests and regulatory investigations. This role will undertake legal work across the APAC Market Unit involving coronial inquests and investigations, as well as investigations by regulators such as the Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission (in Australia);
A full PD and salary banding information is available on request to suitable candidates.
Candidates with experience in Health law and Aged Care and Retirement Villages law in Australia, and in managing and leading legal matters for a business or business area (preferably with senior executive leadership/Board experience) are encouraged to apply.
