The RoleThis senior legal counsel role sits neatly within the established legal and commercial team as a senior position. Assisting the GC to deliver the legal and commercial strategy and processes, the successful lawyer will be a key member of the team and contribute broadly to the success of the brand. This role offers high-quality legal work on a very broad mix of significant projects, complex contracts, general commercial advice and regulatory and industry specific issues including:Taking a lead legal role on key projects, tenders & significant commercial and some construction agreements Significant contractual negotiation and trouble-shooting Legal and regulatory compliance Assisting with risk management Providing strategic advice on legal and commercial issues Assisting with corporate governance and secretariat advice The BenefitsOur client is committed to fostering a supportive culture of excellence and an enriched employee experience with a collaborative approach and market leading benefits, including additional annual leave. About youTo be considered for this role you will be a commercially focussed and astute senior lawyer, with front end commercial experience gained in a quality in-house team or leading law firm. You will have worked on and led significant negotiations and understand the legal and risk requirements of a complex multi-disciplinary company. In addition to your honed legal skills, you will enjoy dealing with senior executives and supervising juniors.
