Our client, a global Oil and Gas Operator, is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor for a 10-month contract with potential to extend.
This position will commence in Perth before transitioning to an Offshore facility on a 3/3 roster.
Responsibilities: Provide specialist HSE advice, guidance, and onsite support to the Hook-up and Commissioning (HUC) Team on the Clients Accommodation Support Vessel.Understand and support effective implementation of HSE requirements of the Clients BMS.Lead the delivery of HSE improvement initiatives offshore.Support occupational health and safety incident investigations, including conducting incident investigations, entering details to the Event reporting system, and developing and tracking actions to prevent reoccurrence.Review and analyze HSE data including hazard reports, HSE inspection findings, and incident investigations to proactively identify opportunities for HUC HSE performance improvement.Lead and monitor onsite HSE leading indicator activities related to HUC activities including Permit to Work Audits, CIC Inspections, and HSE Observations.Complete daily, weekly, or monthly HSE reports as required.Conduct/participate in HSE assurance activities as per Assurance Schedule.Promote a focus on process safety (including reporting of Tier 3 and 4 events) and support increasing team awareness of process safety management principles.Promote the 'Stop Work' authority by intervening in unsafe acts or conditions.Manage HSE Key Performance Indicators.Participate in the development, review, and implementation of risk assessments and other work planning documentation for HUC CPF scopes of work to ensure compliance with the Clients risk management requirements.Ensure HSE actions raised from, or in relation to, HUC CPF scopes of work are tracked and closed within due date.Escalate HSE issues to the HSE Team Lead as necessary.Assist Operations HSE advisor as required, including Return to Work Presentations, incident investigations, site familiarisations, etc.Communication:Regular interface with Offshore CPF (operations) HSE team to support roll out of HSE communication and other initiatives as required.Regular interface with the Perth-based HSE Team Lead on HSE deliverables, performance, and initiatives.Regular interface and oversight of the HSE Advisor.Attend and actively participate in HUC team meetings as required.Actively participate in site HSE meetings, pre-starts, and toolbox talks.Leadership:Act as a HSE 'Leader' by setting an example to others through actions.Support and promote the Clients Core Values.Support and encourage HUC supervisors' participation in site leadership walkdowns and designated HSE assurance activities.Qualifications & Requirements:Tertiary Occupational Health and Safety / Technical Safety Qualifications(T)BOSIETMaritime Security Identification CardOGUK equivalent MedicalLead OHS Auditor"Root Cause" investigator in a recognised RCA methodology; Tap Root preferredConfined Space Entry, Working from Height, and Authorised Gas Testing qualifications from an Australian Registered Training Organization.Skills and Experience Requirements:3 – 5 years HSE experience in the oil and gas sector; offshore preferred.Experience with brownfield integration in an operating asset preferred.
