As a senior member of the team, you will provide expert advice on Human Resource matters and support the Chief People Officer with the implementation of people and culture strategic initiatives. You will also play a lead role in the HR team and provide guidance and expertise to other members of the team. In the first instance this position will play a pivotal role in the implementation of a new HRIS and developing a sustainable performance development framework for the company.You will love this role if you:Are looking to build a career as a HR leaderAppreciate the variety that comes with working with a small team in a fast paced environmentLook for solutions and are always curious about finding a better way to get great outcomesTackle the urgent issues while making room for the important (less urgent) onesLearn from your mistakes and want to help others avoid the same thing in the futureWhat you will need to be successful:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in a similar human resources roleDeep knowledge and understanding of HR best practices and strong working knowledge of employee and industrial relations frameworksExcellent project management, planning and organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet tight deadlinesHigh level of interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, writing and communication skillsExcellent computer skills, especially in Excel, SharePoint and HR systemsCan-do attitude and ability to influence and motivate a variety of stakeholdersAbility to obtain a police clearance and Working with Children checkDuties include:Provide HR advice and coaching across the full employee lifecycle including employee relations and performance management, remuneration, employee engagement, policies and procedures, learning and development and workplace health and safety mattersInterpret, apply and advise on relevant legislation, standards, agreements, policies and procedures and provide advice and recommendations to ensure complianceAct as the key point of contact for complex employee case management and provide timely and effective responsesInvestigate grievances and complaints, and participate in serious incident investigations and ensure appropriate performance management actioned, recorded, and followed up including disciplinary outcomes as requiredLead the development, review and evaluation of HR Policies and Procedures to maintain alignment with best practice and complianceLead and/or support the implementation of HR strategies and projects as requiredBe a key point of contact within the business and provide direction and support to the HR team and payrollSupport the implementation and ongoing monitoring and evolution of our Workplace Health and Safety systemProvide regular HR reporting and analytics as required
