The HPC Specialist will provide expertise and guidance for scaling and optimising codes on HPC systems particularly in the priority area of climate, weather and the geosciences enabling enhanced productivity on one of Australia's leading research focused computing facilities.
Key Duties:
Provide expertise on performance, scaling and optimisation of HPC codes to targeted research groups.Collaborate with researchers and other members of the NCI team to develop the NCI's software platform.Deliver high quality documentation and specialized training materials on HPC in priority areas.Stay current with advances in high performance scientific computing especially in the areas of AI/ML and data analysis.About You:
You will have a background in research computing in one of the priority focus areas, expert knowledge in HPC and excellent collaborative skills.
Mandatory
Demonstrated experience in the use of HPC in climate, weather and geosciences.Highly developed skills and experience in performance analysis and parallelisation of scientific computing codes.Experience of collaborating across teams and institutions.About the Team The NCI's HPC and Data Innovation team provides expertise in data management, high performance computing and software engineering to users of one of Australia's leading peak computing facilities.
