This position involves a mix of working in the Perth office as well as on site as it is required; Paulsens and Coyote Gold Mine(s) and our Kal East Gold Project. Candidates must therefore have the ability to travel and stay for periods on site on a regular basis.
About the Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Heritage and Land Access Advisor to manage and coordinate all cultural heritage activities and obligations, to enable exploration and project activities and operations.
Key accountabilities include:
Positive engagement with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Native Title Holder groups. Assist legal representatives as the lead for the company with the development of relevant Agreements.Implement and deliver heritage approvals and compliance activities.Provide guidance to team members in relation to heritage processes and obligations.Maintain spatial database with registered and identified heritage sites and create maps for reporting and operational purposes.Support Projects Team with securing external regulatory and access approvals for Mining Proposals which may include environmental and heritage requirements. About You Relevant Tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience and work history in cultural heritage, social or environmental management, ideally within the mining industry.Knowledge and experience in Native Title, Heritage and Land Access and Planning regulatory approvals and interdependencies.Demonstrated experience in the planning and facilitation of heritage surveys.Experience with GIS software with an understanding of data management or a desire to be trained in spatial data management. Overall, we are seeking a positive and motivated 'can do' individual with robust organisational abilities, who can build strong, collaborative, relationships and are able to communicate with a diverse range of people across all levels, both internal and external.
