We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at our welcoming Melbourne Office. In this role, you will work closely with our supportive National GIS team based in Brisbane, Wollongong, Newcastle, Darwin, and Perth. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with specialists across 23 different disciplines, focusing particularly on Acoustic & Vibrations, Environmental Impact Assessment, and Landscape Architecture in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
There is plenty of exciting growth in the Planning & Assessment Service Line with an excess of projects. To fully leverage the expertise of your professional team, you will function as an independent consultant, capable of autonomous work and proactive collaboration with local teams and the broader APAC group. Most importantly you will bring a positive energy and drive to do great work as well as be responsible for the following:
Data managementData manipulation and conversionSpatial analysisPreparation of maps and figures for reportsClient liaison (both internal and external)Skills and experience
Ideally you can demonstrate working at a proficient level within a consulting environment and have ambition to keep progressing your career by challenging yourself as well as having:
Degree in Geographical Information Systems qualification or similar tertiary qualification4-8 years of experience, ideally in consultingA high level of experience with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ESRI Pro, QGIS and other GIS applications (AGOL, web maps and Field Maps)Attention to detail and willingness to produce high quality cartographic outputsSkills in writing scripts in python, ArcGIS Model Builder and programming (desired but not essential)Knowledge of computer aided drafting (CAD) software packagesHigh level of written and verbal communication skillsDiversity in project background experience that can be applied across a range of project typesAustralian working rightsBenefits
