We are seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Geologist – Resources to join our team at the KCGM Operations, focusing on leading and coordinating one of our Resources Geology Teams.
This opportunity is offered as residential in the Goldfields, working a family-friendly 5:2/4:3 roster – 9 hours per day.
Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading a Resource Geology team in modelling the iconic Mt Charlotte Underground.
This role offers a unique blend of challenges and rewards across various technical disciplines, where you'll guide and mentor Project Geologists, ensuring geological excellence through interpretation, modelling, and estimation.
Collaborating closely with Growth and Operational geology teams, you'll identify growth opportunities within a world-class deposit, monitor reconciliation and model performance, and contribute significantly to all mine geology and technical functions.

A degree in Geology, preferably with Honours, from a recognised tertiary institution.
Minimum 7 years geological experience in the mining industry, preferably in gold, including open pit and underground with exposure to senior level responsibilities.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assessing quality of all data (QAQC), drill hole programs, and reconciliation.
Ability to produce an accurate estimate independently, including accurate orebody interpretation, geological & estimation modelling, and sound knowledge of applying geostatistics.
Experience with Datamine macros and the ability to interrogate and validate an estimate and problem solve.
Good communication and decision-making skills.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
Competent in the use of Geological Software (Datamine, Leapfrog, Vulcan, Supervisor or similar).
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence.
