Are you keen to shape the future of financial technology? We are looking for an exceptional Senior Front-End Engineer to join our innovative team. You will be at the forefront of creating sophisticated web applications that redefine user experiences in the financial services space. Your expertise in modern front-end technologies will be crucial in crafting rich, interactive, and highly customisable user interfaces that set new standards in the industry.
In this pivotal role, you will work alongside our UX team to architect and implement an organisation-wide design system and component library that will unify and elevate our external-facing platforms. Your leadership will be essential in establishing cohesive approaches that enhance both developer efficiency and user experience. You will also play a key role in implementing advanced analytics capabilities using a digital experience platform, enabling data-driven decisions that optimise user engagement and platform adoption.
This position offers the perfect blend of technical leadership, creative problem-solving, and strategic impact. This is a full-time role, based in our Melbourne CBD location. Responsibilities:Design and build sophisticated web applications utilising cutting-edge front-end technologies, with emphasis on creating rich, customisable, and interactive user interfaces.Drive the implementation of a comprehensive digital experience analytics platform to enhance user engagement tracking and optimisation.Direct strategic design discussions and web component development initiatives with external digital agency partners.Provide technical mentorship and guidance to development team members across multiple UI teams within the organisation.Establish and maintain robust code review processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.Participate in end-user feedback sessions to ensure that components built are well aligned with current/future users.Demonstrated ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships and work with other team members to implement effective solutions for clients.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent implementation of design systems.Create and maintain adequate training and development plan and lead by example and motivate team members. Requirements:Minimum 5 years experience as a front-end software engineer in a financial services environment (added bonus!).Expert proficiency in front-end languages: JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS.Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, component libraries, and web components.Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.Expertise in UI component design and integrating component libraries.Experience with building components using Lit.Experience with automated unit testing and strong documentation skills.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
