THE OPPORTUNITY:
The purpose of this role is to support the FP&A team and the operation through key reporting cycles and planning processes to improve and deliver on key future initiatives across the business and support senior business leaders to make informed decisions.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions and manage key operational and financial risks to create value for the business.
This is a permanent full-time position based at our West Perth office, with a requirement to travel to site on an occasional basis. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing and maintaining annual budgets and quarterly forecasts;
Providing in-depth financial analysis, identifying key drivers of financial performance, and recommending strategies for improvement.
Monitoring and reporting on financial outcomes, variances, and trends to senior management.
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency enhancements.
Conducting ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling to support decision-making.
Developing and maintaining financial models to assess and predict future financial performance.
Analysis of plant operational metrics and production costs.
Playing a key role in financial decision support, strategic planning, and business process improvement.
Development of management reporting packs and presentations to the senior leadership team.
ABOUT YOU:
A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting as well as CA or CPA qualified.
A strong understanding of mining operations and a track record within the industry.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, data analysis, and capital management.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools.
Ability to meet competing deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
