Are you an experienced Financial Analyst looking to take your career to the next level? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our client, who is a government body.
This is a 12-month contract with a possibility for extension.
The aim of the position is to establish and prepare financial and commercial data analysis and reporting to assess the financial capacity of companies, monitor the performance of existing projects, and analyze and report on cost and financial data.
Responsibilities include: Conducting financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in addition to strategic decision making.
Analyzing and providing advice on financial information, corporate governance, and risk management information for companies.
Monitoring and analyzing financial reports (company balance sheet, cash flow, capital and balance sheet metrics), capital cost estimates, and data.
Drafting well-written, concise, and relevant advice to decision-makers.
Using in-house financial models to assess financial resources.
Reviewing Governance Reports lodged with the ASX or other relevant foreign bodies and preparing advice for senior management.
Preparing reports and effectively communicating findings.
To be successful you will have: Suitable technical and accounting/finance degree.
3-5 years of experience working in a similar position.
Demonstrated high-level knowledge and experience to undertake: - Data analysis.
- Maintain financial models.
A good understanding of corporate structures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical research abilities and presentation skills.
Demonstrated experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
Government experience is highly desirable.
