About the role:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant with a background in tax to join the National Finance Team in a role that offers a strong blend of business partnering/advisory and compliance work, playing a critical role in the strategic financial planning and analysis department, contributing to the success of our business by managing financial reporting, taxation compliance, and development accounting.
You will have a broad scope across the business, depending on the time of year, and duties will include:
Assist in preparing financial statements and annual accounts for all business structures.
Prepare financial analysis and reports.
Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.
Taxation Compliance and Reporting/ Tax effect accounting advising on taxation matters and recommend tax strategies.
Provide modelling and analysis support for development requirements from a finance perspective.
Review and advise on project feasibility reports.
Prepare development margin related disclosures for annual accounts.
Ensure compliance with treasury and hedging policy.
About you
CA/CPA qualified you will have a background in tax, either from a commercial experience or looking to move from Tax/ Business Services into the commercial space. With a flexible and proactive approach to your work, you'll describe yourself as a team player who enjoys building relationships with stakeholders to provide a high level of analytical and compliance support. You will demonstrate:
Demonstrated understanding of Australian Corporate tax compliance, GST, Accounting Standards, and associated legislation.
Ability to communicate complex tax issues effectively.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads.
Positive can-do attitude and team player.
Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously.
Flexible approach to work planning.
