THE OPPORTUNITY: Reporting to the Principal Financial Accountant this role will prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts, including board reporting and ASX compliant annual and interim financial reports.
This is a permanent full-time (Monday to Friday) position based at our West Perth office.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing the Board and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with consolidated financial results including variance analysis commentary to assist decision making Preparing annual and interim financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and ASX reporting requirements Providing accounting and regulatory guidance in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards including preparing accounting papers for the Audit and Risk Committee Preparing monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations relating to technical accounting issues, e.g. share based payments, leases, tax effect accounting and rehabilitation provisions Taking ownership of the tax compliance and preparing tax returns in conjunction with the Company's tax advisors  Coordinating and overseeing the audit process as the primary point of contact for the auditors Ensure compliance with statutory law, taxation, and financial regulations Ad-hoc project work as required ABOUT YOU: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting qualifications (CA or CPA) At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar finance role Proven experience in preparing statutory ASX quarterly, half-year and full-year reports Experience in an ASX listed company is highly regarded Sound knowledge in accounting standards and Tax effect accounting experience Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner; and Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools Ability to meet competing deadlines Excellent attention to detail WHAT WE OFFER Excellent remuneration package and eligible to participate in the company's performance incentive scheme.
