About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager and providing support across the team, this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to apply their skills in a role with long-term potential for growth as this organisation continues to expand. You will also have the opportunity to work on some key projects, assist with putting together business cases, work within several entities, and engage widely across all stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial information relating to multiple business entities within the group, including:
Recording of all financial information in accordance with accounting standardsBank account management and reconciliationsPreparation of balance sheet reconciliationsMaintenance of fixed asset registersManagement of lease accounting AASB16 and schedulesWork in progress accountingFleet management dutiesWork in close collaboration with the Commercial Finance Manager to collate financials for monthly operational meetings, Board meetings, and other presentations as required by ManagementManagement of half-year and full-year audit processTax compliance - BAS, Income Tax, FBTAssist with the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, cash flow, and reportingSkills & Experience Required Demonstrated experience in end-to-end financial accounting duties, with a strong understanding of key accounting concepts and reporting standardsApproachable and curious, not afraid to ask questions and seek clarification, with a high capacity for using initiative and being proactiveAppetite for learning, continuous improvement, and problem-solvingFlexible attitude, managing time effectively to adapt to changing prioritiesHighly developed interpersonal skills, as this is a key role within the team and will require liaising with stakeholders across several entitiesPrevious experience in a commercial environmentBenefits & Culture This organisation continues to grow and prosper, offering long-term career development opportunitiesGenuine scope for this position to evolve and develop due to growthMilton location, close to public transport, various parking options, retail, and excellent coffeeJob security, an active social calendar, and a culture built on collaboration and teamworkAbout the Company
