Job Description Reporting to the Financial Controller, the primary objective of the role is to manage, maintain, and deliver the accounting processes of the Group, including related tax and regulatory compliance elements. In addition, it includes Business Partnering via the provision of detailed reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, KPI development, performance reporting, and supporting the organisation in maintaining compliance and achieving organisational goals through input into policies and procedures by making recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities.
The key mandates for the role include:
Manage and deliver the end-to-end EOM accounting process, including associated reporting. Gather and analyse financial information for internal use, including analysis of data, preparation of various budget analyses, variance analysis, and capital works. Support the budgeting preparation and planning and support the preparation of forecasting between budget periods. Prepare workpapers and reconciliations for annual audit and statutory reporting in accordance with accounting standards. Prepare month-end reporting and associated costing and revenue analysis. Manage and review the reconciliation of balance sheet and test accounts as per monthly schedule. Manage the preparation of BAS, Payroll tax, FBT, and other tax obligations of the Group. Oversee ledger management and integrity. Implement, maintain, and improve internal controls associated with functional responsibilities including identifying and managing risk. The role will provide support in all areas of Financial Accounting to support the Financial Controller. Qualifications What you will bring: Minimum 3-5+ years accounting experience, either in a commercial environment or via diversified public practice experience. Accommodation and hospitality businesses experience will set you apart! Extensive knowledge of BI and ERP Accounting Systems. Netsuite and TM1 preferred. Qualified CPA or CA or currently undertaking this qualification. Customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate financial issues with non-financial partners. The ability to develop strong relationships with operational and corporate teams. Up-to-date knowledge of AASB. Strong commercial and business acumen. Experienced in working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
