About the roleThis is your opportunity to join a collaborative and dynamic finance team and support DLGSC and its satellite agencies.
DLGSC is seeking to establish a pool of Senior Financial Officers and Management Accountants for appointment to permanent, fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies for present and future vacancies. We currently have two permanent, full time (75hrs p/f) positions available.
Senior Financial Officer In this position, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the Department's financial statements and other statutory reporting requirements.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assist with completing month end processes and maintaining integrity of financial dataPrepare accruals, reconciliations and monthly reportsThe use of data analytics tools to enhance internal controlsManagement Accountant In this position, you will be responsible for assisting with a range of internal and external financial reporting obligations within DLGSC to support effective budget management practices.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assisting with the preparation of the annual Budget Statements and Estimate notesMaintain budget ledgers in the finance systemPrepare internal and external reports for various audiences such as DLGSC's Corporate Executives and other Government agenciesMaintain the Department's financial and non-financial information across various systems and stakeholdersWe are looking for people with a demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, who are highly organized and work well in a collaborative team environment.
