The aim is to transform Australia's car rental industry with the goal to become the #1 choice in car rental and mobility.THE ROLE:As part of the Senior Leadership Group and reporting to the General Manager- Finance, some of your key accountabilities will include:Management of month & year end within required timeframesDelivery of daily, monthly and annual cash flow forecastsCompilation of monthly and annual budgeted balance sheetsPreparation of monthly BAS, FBT and income tax provisions and returnsResponsibility for effective transaction capture and billing processes via Cobra – working with internal stakeholders (Product Development, Operations, Technology, Franchisees and Sixt Global)Management of year end including compilation of work papers, impairment testing and other information as requiredEnsuring any other audit requirements to external bodies are deliveredIdentify and lead the delivery of improvements in financial control related activitiesLead, develop and inspire the finance team of approx. 10Foster a culture of continuous improvement with a key focus on automation and leveraging information systemsOversee compliance and control to ensure policies are adhered toTHE CANDIDATE:To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:Relevant experience within a similar role as either a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager – ideally you are from an industry that has payments and billing systems using online payment gateways (retail, travel, hotels, equipment hire etc). You understand the complexities around franchise/branch networks and have the desire to ensure the customer payment experience is faultless. Experience using NETSUITE will be highly regarded (exposure to Tableau or TM1 would also be great but not essential).Exceptional communication skills – this isn't your average finance role. The ideal candidate is someone who can build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate financial information in a way that people can understand. You have the enviable mix of strong financial acumen and a personality that can get along with anyone they meet.Excellent time management and organisation skills – this is a fast paced, constantly evolving environment. You're the type of person who gets a thrill out of a role that constantly keeps you on your toes whilst also being able to deliver on a deadline.Strong leadership skills – you love managing people, identifying career advancement opportunities and advocating for your team when necessary.This is a great opportunity and is perfectly suited to candidates who have experience within organisations that have stores/branches/franchisee networks with high volume payments made through merchant facilities and payment gateways.
