The company is a stable and well-established property company with an extensive portfolio including real estate investment, property development, and property management.
They are conveniently located within the Adelaide CBD.
About the Job The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for undertaking all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
You will be a critical member of the Executive Team and be involved in the strategic planning and driving improvements through the financial operations of the company's diverse operations by leading, inspiring, and motivating the financial team.
Manage all financial operations across all divisions of the businessCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesPrepare and analyse timely monthly financial statementsReport to the Chairman and Board on all financial mattersDevelop and implement financial improvement plans across the accounts teamSupport month-end and year-end close processesEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingAbout the Manager / Team This role reports to the Chairman.
Due to succession planning, there will be a fast-track career progression into the CEO role within the near future.
Skills & Requirements for the Job To succeed in this role, you should possess a Degree in Accounting with a CPA, CA, or CMA.
You must have a proven track record of being a CFO or Financial Controller in another organisation, with more than 10 years of accounting and finance experience since graduation.
The ideal incumbent should have thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process, as well as an understanding of property development and associated financial reporting, plus banking industry and guidelines.
