Senior Finance and Payroll Officer / Accountant (m/f/n)Full timePurpose of the Position: Taking responsibility for payroll system XERO and all payroll activities and payroll related activities. Supporting bookkeeping on a daily basis and overseeing accounting procedures
General Duties and Responsibilities: Payroll: Responsible fortnightly payroll transactionsTermination paymentsPreparation & lodgment of payroll tax, superannuation contributions, and PAYGConfidently support team with payroll related queriesSupporting in processing purchase invoices.Supporting in preparation of sales invoices.Supporting in processing of credit card statements.Preparation of payment runs.Preparation and submission of BASSupport operations team with sales orders, management and tracking of project expenditures, sub-contractor payment schedules and procurementFixed asset managementTreatment of accruals/provisions for month end closingLiaising with Head Office (in Austria) to ensure correct cost centre allocationAssisting management with ad hoc duties as requiredBank reconciliationsReport on cash flow and cash balancesPayment enquiries and adjustmentsAssist in compliance with statutory accounting and tax requirements, working with the external accountant/tax agentMonthly checks on accounting figures with mgmtAssist in preparing year end accounts that will be finalized by external accountantPersonal Characteristics: Mature approach and ability to complete tasks and adapt to change within a fast-paced environmentMust be an independent, self-driven, team focused personCommunication skills with strong attention to detail and interest in working with an international groupAbility to interface with the external accountant for tax, payroll and reporting dutiesAble to demonstrate commitment to safety, teamwork and the ability to build strong relationshipsExperience/Qualifications: Diploma in accounting with 5 years' extensive experience or;Degree Qualified accountant (desirable)Payroll certificate (desirable)5 years practical experienceKnowledge of ERP Systems; Microsoft Business Central (Dynamics NAV) experience would be idealDemonstrate strong software and general IT skills, e.g. advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, i.e. ExcelBenefits and perks: Be part of a dynamic, international teamModern CBD based office setting and equipmentFlexible working conditions available to the successful candidateInterested?
