The company is focused on the production of specialty food and wine products from a number of NSW regions.

About the role
Our client is seeking a Senior Farm Hand to work and expand the day-to-day operations of its specialty crop farm working with consultants in growing their cropping business.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in mushroom cultivation, vegetable farming and sustainable agricultural practices.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Development & Expansion:
In conjunction with consultant, increase yield, introduce new crop varieties and optimize supply to restaurants.
Crop Management:
Oversee the cultivation of a variety of mushrooms, parsley, Chinese cabbage, butter lettuce and other varieties.
Ensure the health and quality of crops via pest management, and optimal cultivation techniques.
Undertake planting, harvesting, packing, and distribution.
Operational Oversight:
Manage R & M of farm machinery and equipment.
Ensure compliance with agricultural best practices, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Supply Chain & Deliveries:
Coordinate the timely packing and delivery of fresh produce.
Ensure produce is packed and transported to preserve its quality.
