Senior Export Sea Operator

The company:
This company is a an award winning Global freight forwarding & logistics provider that has over 200 offices worldwide and specialises in air, ocean, customs brokerage, warehousing, import/export, project and supply chain management. They have their own warehouse & brokerage facilities, their modern head office facilities are based in Banksmeadow, and have onsite parking available to staff.

The role:
The company is seeking an Senior Export Sea Operator or Supervisor in their current team of 4 and responsible for all things export sea operations, mentorship and training using cargowise as their operating system - you will need solid experience in export sea, freight forwarding operations so you can hit the ground running in this fast paced environment. 

Daily duties of a senior export sea operator: 
Day to day operations for sea freight operations; Third party billings, invoicing, reporting & EOM processing; Oversee & support a small team of import/export operators (if supervising); Provide ongoing training & SOP implementation; Handling escalated operational issues; Develop & maintain relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas offices/agents, customers, suppliers and internal staff

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have solid export sea operations experience in the Australian freight forwarding market as an essential requirement for this role; Cargowise would be highly desired but if you are an experienced operator without cargowise please apply for this role; eagerness to learn other areas of the business so you can support your team members and they can support you when you want to take a break; exceptional attention to detail and accuracy skills so you don't get shipments flagged with customs; ability to prioritise you don't have to bill your clients unwanted storage charges; confident, clear and professional communication so everyone is in the loop every step of the way.
