Job Purpose A unique opportunity awaits an outstanding and experienced Events professional to join the dynamic team at VenuesLive WA who operate the Stadium and surrounding Stadium Park.
Reporting to the Head of Events, the Senior Events Manager will form an integral part of the Events & Venue Management team, and will play an important role in leading the planning and delivery of major events staged at Optus Stadium.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious venue and event management professional looking for a career directing challenge.
Your focus will be: Lead the planning process and delivery of major Stadium events and non-event day activities. These events may include AFL games, International Cricket, BBL, NRL, Rugby Australia, Football and other international sporting fixtures, tournaments and concerts.Manage operational relationships with hirers, operational partners, event stakeholders and sub-contractors.Prepare and manage event and departmental budgets.Prepare and manage key staffing rosters including Customer Service, Security and Medical.Oversee Risk, Safety and Emergency Management planning for all major events.Integrate with all internal departments to lead the planning and execution of major events.Provide support across all functional areas (internal and external).Manage a small team of Event Coordinators dedicated to the planning and delivery of major events.To be successful, you will have: An outstanding record in venue and event management with a minimum 8-10 years of experience in delivering major events.A highly effective approach to leadership, personnel management and integrated planning.Qualification in Venue or Event Management or relevant experience.Competency across the suite of standard Microsoft products.Competency in Momentus (desirable).Experience in creating and managing budgets.What we offer: Competitive salary and wellbeing benefits.Free Parking. While standard hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm, the nature of the event industry means that you will be required to work outside these hours particularly around events being held at Optus Stadium and Stadium Park.
