Clerk Grade 5/6 - Salary relative to experience and ranges from $93,295 to $102,941 + super

The role

Our dedicated and highly regarded Events team currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Events Coordinator

to oversee the operation and coordination of diverse and high-profile events.
In this exciting role, you'll be the key liaison between clients, venue staff, and contractors, ensuring seamless coordination from initial planning to successful execution.
You'll oversee event logistics and operations, ensuring top-notch service and customer satisfaction.
You'll tackle diverse stakeholder needs, resolve operational issues swiftly, and ensure the safe, efficient delivery of events.
As a senior member of the team, you will lead a dynamic team of staff plus additional event crew, managing everything from sports and conferences to tradeshows and concerts.
What you will bring to the role

Proven leadership qualities, in a supervisory role or similar and demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals.
Proven experience in event management, with a track record of successfully planning and executing high-profile events.
Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations to resolve operational issues promptly, manage risks, and ensure the safety of all patrons.
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Solid time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships to communicate and establish expectations and safety parameters to achieve outcomes with diverse stakeholders.
Understand basic financial terminology, policies and processes, record keeping and act of financial audits reporting and obligations.

What is an essential requirement:

Tertiary qualifications in relevant field or experience in similar role.
Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management and event coordination within a complex organization.
Able to work to a roster, including weekends.
Current Working with Children Check.
Senior First Aid Certificate – Or able to obtain.
Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate – Or able to obtain.
