Position Overview: As Senior Estimator you will be responsible for providing accurate pricing, communication and assistance to our team, engineers, trades and suppliers as well as preparing detailed documentation to assist at point of sale and through administration.
About the role Produce an accurate and precise custom sales costing for individual designs.Accurately estimate project costs, including labour, materials, equipment, and overheads.Analyse construction plans and develop detailed material take-offs to determine material requirements.Manage procurement processes, including supplier negotiations and issuing purchase orders.Continuously monitor project expenses to ensure budgets are adhered to.Develop and maintain accurate pricing and recipes in the company's software platform. Oversee all pre-construction activities, including contract preparation, securing development approvals, and obtaining building permits.Benefits and Perks Collaborative and supportive work environment.Tailor your own systems and procedures.Ability to shape both the role and the company.Opportunities to participate in both industry and social events.Free car parking.Skills and experience Minimum 5+ years experience working for a project home builderMinimum 2+ years industry experience within the Perth market of double story buildsOver 3 years of experience as a EstimatorExcellent communication skills - both written and verbalAbility to estimate multiple projects at a timeAble to produce an accurate and precise custom sales costing for individual designsProficiency in Quantity Take-Offs and software tools.Ability to read and interpret plans, engineers and specificationsHigh level of organisational and time management skillsAbility to review other team members work and assist in their trainingHigh attention to detail, organised, diligent and numerate with sound CPU skillsSelf-motivated and accountable with a passion for residential constructionAdaptability and responsiveness to changeAll applicants will be treated with the strictest of confidentiality.
