As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Estimator to be a part of our ongoing success and work primarily on large civil infrastructure projects across NSW. The role will be to lead, co-ordinate and prepare first principle estimates in conjunction with the estimating support team incorporating accurate cost allocations, up to date market knowledge and identification of competitive advantages to successfully win projects.
Your key duties will be to:
Lead and prepare first principal estimates of direct and indirect costs in a timely and cost-effective basis.Coordinate with the estimating support team to develop a thorough understanding of project scope, methodologies, program, client deliverables and other technical & commercial intricacies.Control and coordinate approvals to tender, tender review process, tender submissions and team resources.Undertake risk assessments and produce risks and opportunities schedule.Develop, supervise and review submission documents.Participate in tender reviews and post tender negotiations.Mentor and assist in the development of junior estimators, engineers and assistants.What you're good at:
Aside from having a relevant tertiary qualification, you should have demonstrated examples to showcase:
Extensive experience in leading and managing major tenders ideally within the transport sector of at least $50m in project value.Advanced skills in estimating software packages (Expert estimation would be preferable).Solid experience in finance, project & contract management.Thorough knowledge and experience of TfNSW tenders will be highly regarded.Strong eye for detail, first class literacy, numeracy and communication skills.Our estimating teams are dedicated, analytical, always ready for a laugh and willing to go out of their way to help each other and roll up their sleeves to drive positive tender outcomes.
