About the position: We are seeking an experienced estimator for the Medium Density construction segment. This role involves evaluating bid criteria and drawings to win B2B and medium density contracts. As Senior Estimators your responsibilities will include but be not limited to:
Support the team with Sales and Production Estimations.
Prepare precise quantities for tender level BOQs and ensuring a smooth and confident engagement with subcontractors for bid tendering.
Analyse project documentation to determine if all elements are included such as tender schedule costing and subcontractor RFQ (Request for Quote), various forms of building contracts – AS 4902 / HIA.
Ensure accurate measurements, manage Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and meet project budgets by issuing vendor requests and adhering to Rawson Group procedures.
Review plans, engineers, specifications, schedules, authority requirements and any other relevant documentations ensuring there is no conflicting information when preparing Tenders and variations.
Ensure complete tasks and meet job targets within designated timeframes.
Liaising with internal departments including sales and projects teams.
Maintain professional network with suppliers and sub-contractors.
To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
Appropriate qualifications in the building/ estimating preferred.
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role preferred or greater experience within Building Industry preferred.
Prior experience using Estimating software (i.e. Databuild, BuildSoft, Timerbline PlanSwift or similar).
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Have effective communication skills.
A positive attitude and team player temperament.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
