We are looking for a passionate, driven and highly experienced Senior Estimator to manage the full tender process of medium to large scale projects and help us build our pipeline of work.
You will independently manage a portfolio of tenders, submissions and BOQs, liaising with a range of stakeholders to produce attractive, high-quality submissions.
As a senior in the team, you will lead by example and help to mentor our Estimators.
What you'll do: Prepare and coordinate high quality and accurate tender proposals and submissionsSource and collate supplier and contractor quotesDevelop relationships with clients, designers, architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractorsReview, develop and maintain accurate and up to date cost informationAttend tender interviews and take the lead as requiredLiaise with project teams and prepare project schedulesMentor and grow other Estimators to be the best they can bePreparation of construction budgets for handover to the construction teamHelp continually improve our estimating processes and systemsAbout you: Genuine passion for the Construction industry and EstimatingTertiary qualified in Construction Management or a related discipline / equivalent experienceExtensive experience in a Senior Estimator role working across multiple projects, ideally in Tier 1 & 2 buildersProven background on medium-to-large new construction projectsHigh level of proficiency with CostX and Estimate OneWell versed with preliminaries costingSound understanding of construction systems and methodologies and the ability to demonstrate this to clientsStrong experience in building and maintaining relationships built on trust and authenticityAble to juggle multiple priorities and context switch quicklyExperience mentoring junior team membersA strong team focus, and highly motivatedHow you'll benefit: 5-day work week (exception of Site Managers/Supervisors who work 10 days in 14, with every other Saturday off)Investment in training with the aim to have the best trained workforce in the industryFree health assessments for all staffPaid parental leave for both primary and secondary care giversFast-tracked career development opportunities and support our staff through mentoring, workshops and retreatsIndustry-leading internal communication channels to break down silos across sites, allowing staff to share ideas, lessons learnt and other resources.Kapitol values diversity and aims to build an inclusive environment that champions, embraces and respects differences.
