LINX – Port Services has over 100 years of ports and stevedoring experience and offers logistics solutions focused on reducing complexity in our customers' supply chains. We handle more than 11 million tonnes of bulk cargo per annum and maintain more than 130,000 square metres of warehousing space nationally.
The Opportunity LINX Port Services are currently seeking a Senior ER/IR Business Partner to join the team on a national level, this critical role is a hands-on position that will deliver best practice ER and IR outcomes, solutions, advice, and counsel to key stakeholders across the business including Operational Leads and Support Leads.
Reporting directly to the GM of HR/IR the Senior ER/IR Business Partner will be a key member of the leadership team for the FWC facilitated quarterly Joint Engagement Group (JEG). 
About the Position  The Senior ER/IR Business Partner will be responsible for but not limited to the below duties – 
Be a key member and support for the enterprise agreement negotiations alongside the EGM – Port Services, GM HR/IR, and the GM – Eastern Operations and the Fair Work Commission in Interest Based Bargaining (IBB).Provide ER/IR coaching and partnership to the Operational Leads and other People Team members including Payroll, Workers Compensation and Recruitment.Contribute and support the administration, development, and execution of our ER/IR contingencies, plans and strategy.Manage a high volume of complex employee issues. Stay abreast of changes and trends within the industrial relations landscape and legislation.Manage and coordinate the interface with legal employment practitioners on various IR/ER matter. About You You are an ER/IR Professional with an eye for detail driven by employee engagement, with the confidence to resolve matters directly and robustly within a heavily unionised industrial environment. The success of this position is dependent upon the ability to build and maintain effective business partnering relationships and work positively with Employee Groups across our workforce. 
Essential skills and experience will include:
Tertiary Qualification in Law or ER/HR related Business / Psychology Discipline or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in blue collar Enterprise Agreement negotiation processes from end to end.ER/IR experience in a maritime, construction, logistics, transport, manufacturing, Industrial or similar blue collar operational environment.Proven ability interpreting EA's, legislation and awards.Strong commercial acumen, lateral and analytical thinker, with resilience and attention to detail.Significant experience in employee/industrial relations including an understanding of employment law.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong influencing and collaboration skills.Be able to work in a team environment. Ability to manage a high volume of work, prioritise tasks appropriately and enjoy the challenge of working under pressure, yet finding work life balance.Be able to travel to operational sites as required.
