Senior Environmental Project Manager – Defenc

$140,000 – $180,000 neg. PFAS, Waste classification, PSI DSI and Remediation for major government defence contracts. Smaller Consultancy winning Top-Tier Work. Senior Project Manager in Contaminated Sites / Remediation to join an Australian Environmental Consultancy who, despite its smaller size, is well and truly competing with the top-tier players, winning multiple Defence contracts against their tenders.
As a result, they are ideally looking for 2x Environmental PMs & a Senior PM to jump onto the long-term work they've won (with plenty of further tenders looking very likely).
The Projects:PFAS, Waste classification, PSI DSI and Remediation for major government defence contracts.Designing work scopes, leading & mentoring small teams of Juniors, advising clients & supervising contractors against the programs you've designed.These are seriously sizeable works – not tick & flick sort of projects.Pure project management (not technical reporting) with travel to sites once every couple of months.The Consultancy:If you're currently playing at one of the big, top-tier consultancies, the culture at this firm will be a breath of fresh air.
They are a no bullsh**, very open culture where there's no cliques and no red tape.
The CEO is super reasonable & has a very entrepreneurial mindset enjoying giving young staff the opportunity to show what they can do.
He promotes people quickly based on worth, not length or tenure.
One Senior, for example, was recently promoted to VIC Ops Manager.
There will be progression to Project Director for the right person – this is a role they have slated to create for this team, preferably from within.
Who they're looking for:10+ yrs experience in project management and contract administration of environmental remediation projects as a consultant, regulator, or within the industryExperience in environmental and contaminated land management, including contaminated site assessments or large-scale construction projectsAble to successfully obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security ClearanceDefence Experience ideal (If not defence, other commonwealth experience considered)If you're interested in applying for, or learning more about this role, please feel free to send across your resume or shoot me a text / call.
