The Role: Our Environment team is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to support the improvement of the environmental management and regulatory performance of the Company's operations, extending our commercial capabilities through strong engagement with internal customers and external stakeholders and authoritative technical advice. This includes:
Working with our people to maintain and improve our environmental management system. Managing our risks and impacts through effective controls for day-to-day operations and maintenance work. Leading and participating in routine activity and incident investigations. This permanent, full-time role is located in Cooma, nestled amidst the breathtaking Snowy Mountains. We're looking for someone with: Degree or Postgraduate qualification in environmental or a natural resource management discipline or equivalent. 5+ years experience in an environmental advisory or natural resource management role. Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory frameworks and experience managing environmental approval processes. Strong commercial understanding to closely align performance with the business objectives. Highly developed skills in influencing, negotiation, environmental auditing, incident investigation, and report writing. Ability to work well within a team environment and have the ability to develop constructive relations and positively influence agencies and regulators.
