RoleSummary: The SeniorEnvironmental Advisor (Closure Planning) role is a newly createdopportunity in our HSE Strategy Planning & Projects Team basedat our Perth CBD or Muja site, with frequent site-based work in theCollie region.
The purposeof this role is to inform the transition and support positiveenvironmental outcomes as Synergy transitions into sustainablegeneration. You will be responsible for identifying opportunitiesfor positive environmental outcomes in closure and rehabilitationacross Synergy sites and assist in the execution and completion ofprojects which will directly contribute to theseoutcomes.
Keyresponsibilities of the role include:
Providing environmentaltechnical advice relating to the closure and rehabilitation ofSynergy's sites. Identifying andsupporting the strategic pathway required as the businesstransitions from coal-based generation towards sustainableenergy generation. Implementing progressiveenvironmental rehabilitation of assets. Overseeing andsupporting multiple concurrent work streams and undertakingsite-based work across the Collie region. Abilityto prioritise to ensure key objectives are achieved withinallocated timeframes and budget. Whatyou'll bring: Thoroughunderstanding and application of environmental legislative andregulatory requirements. Strongbusiness acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills andexposure to risk management and governanceprocesses. Experience undertakingor managing rehabilitation or revegetationprojects.
