If so, this is your opportunity to live, work and play a short drive from stunning coastlines, scenic trails and the food and wine heartland of the west.Located in the picturesque south-west and Peel regions of Western Australia, South32 Worsley Alumina is on a journey to become the world's leading Alumina producer where our 1500 workforce value the lifestyle that Worsley Alumina has to offer.Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers The opportunity to become a shareholder of South32 through our share plans Options for additional superannuation contributions Annual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the business ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position on a 9-day fortnight or 4-day week, DIDO to our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing specialised electrical power and instrumentation engineering expertise and managing modifications and project tasks in line with processes, standards, and performance targets for HSEC, quality and cost.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:Provide electrical and instrumentation engineering expertise and consultative support for the Operation Develop and maintain asset management plans for critical electrical and instrumentation equipment across the entire South32 Worsley Alumina operation Assist with the development of maintenance strategies for new equipment Ensure compliance to relevant processes and standards, statutory legislation, Fatal Risk Controls, and Industry, Australian or Government Standards ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Significant experience gained in a similar Maintenance/reliability role within mining or heavy industry. Fluent in maintenance and asset management of Electrical, Instrument, power and control equipment, VSDs/motors, Distribution equipment, VSD, Harmonic Filters, LV system, DC systems, PLCs, and Process instrumentation Understanding of industrial control systems and instrumentation in the context of a process plant A good appreciation of functional safety Qualifications for this position are:Degree in Electrical Engineering Eligible for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
