This role is pivotal in driving the adoption and implementation of Azure technologies, enabling the organization to achieve its cloud transformation goals.As a key member of the Corporate Systems team, the Azure DevOps Engineer will define, implement, and design Azure patterns to develop innovative solutions for a broad range of stakeholders. This includes establishing best practices and frameworks and enabling the evolving DevOps strategy. The role involves mentoring and providing thought leadership to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. The engineer will also be responsible for identifying requirements, designing solutions, estimating efforts, and contributing to regular team ceremonies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, (including Coles Code of Conduct) and all applicable external laws and regulations.About you and your skills:Proven years of experience as a Microsoft Technology Specialist with a strong focus on Azure, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.Expert understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Azure Functions, Azure Integration patterns, SharePoint (on-premise and online), Microsoft 365, AAD, and Azure RBAC policies.Proven experience designing solutions on Public and Private Clouds, particularly within Microsoft Azure Public Cloud.Strong development skills with experience in .NET Core, React, Terraform, AKS, and Azure.Experience with Azure DevOps and release management, including CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery workflows.Demonstrated experience with Application and/or Infrastructure automation/orchestration using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.Solid understanding of Cloud Networking concepts and experience implementing and supporting cloud environments.Experience with API development using technologies such as REST/JSON and implementing Azure integration services (APIM, Event Grid, Service Bus, Function Apps).Strong knowledge of Microsoft Software Development Methodologies, Agile methods, and concepts.Experience working in complex system architectures, operations, and support structures, delivering outcomes as part of a cross-functional group.Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD processes, and best practices, with a demonstrated understanding of Cloud Security.Experience applying fundamental design principles such as SOLID, working in TDD, BDD, and DDD environments, and exposure to architecture and design patterns.A logical approach to problem-solving and the ability to constructively propose and review solutions.A passion for new technology and continuous improvement.Commercial Skills and Formal QualificationsTertiary degree in IT or a related field preferred.Experience working in a digital-first organization with a strong customer-centric focus.Proven capability in writing clean, well-thought-out, and reliable code.Understanding of the digital ecosystem, software development lifecycle, development methodologies (including Agile), enterprise architecture principles, web usability and accessibility, online content, and user experience (UX) design.Highly collaborative style, able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to meet targets.Effectively balances commercial and customer needs.Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing.Experience with Azure PaaS offerings, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Data Factory, APIM, AAD, Cosmos, Azure Storage, Service Bus, and KeyVault.Experience with DevOps, scripting, infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform), and cloud security concepts.Deep understanding of automation and DevOps concepts.Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery workflows using Azure DevOps and Git.Experience with YAML, PowerShell/Shell scripting, Azure CLI, Containers, Docker, and Kubernetes.Experience working in complex system architectures, operations, and support structures.Understanding of Microsoft technology roadmaps and lifecycle.Cultivates a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.Process-oriented with strong attention to detail.Proven track record of successfully matching technical solutions to business requirements.Demonstrated awareness of applicable IT change and problem management processes.Azure Engineering certifications highly preferred.Nice to have: Experience with
