Position SummaryThis position is responsible for the management and delivery of fire and multi-disciplinary projects (as per level of experience) for key clients and major projects in key sectors. They will be responsible for Fire Services engineering designs and continuing to build client relationships.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFire services design and analysisTaking responsibility for the internal management and delivery of allocated projectsUnderstanding, identifying and proactively managing project risksCoordinating requirements between other disciplines (both internally and externally) and performing checks of documents and drawings of other disciplinesAttending and leading ACOR Fire Services representation in project design meetings with client teamsParticipating in design and safety reviews, and risk assessmentsParticipating in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions/management of changeAssisting in the development of systems/standards for Fire Services within the ACOR GroupSupporting and mentoring junior staffPrimaryCoordinating and managing members of the project teamCoordinating multi-disciplinary building services designsPreparing project building services specificationsRespectfully liaising and coordinating with clients and ACOR staffParticipating in design documentation reviews internal and external to the officeAssisting with project specific workload as requiredDeveloping system/standards for Fire Services within ACOR GroupAttending project Revit/BIM coordination meetingsSupporting and mentoring drafting staffSecondaryDeveloping markets, contacts and clients to expand the ACOR offer and client baseDeveloping and improving existing client relationships and delivery strategiesSeeking and developing new clients and opportunitiesAssisting in the development of delivery strategies to develop and expand marketsJointly responsible for the leadership, guidance and mentoring of employees within the Group to meet the ACOR Group ObjectivesQualificationsUniversity engineering degree or equivalent, recognised by Engineers AustraliaEligible for membership of Engineers AustraliaSite induction training card (white card)Australian CitizenExperience & Technical SkillsMinimum 8+ years professional experience in consulting engineering or related fieldsAptitude & Interpersonal SkillsStrong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsHigh level organisational, coordination and prioritisation skillsStrong problem-solving skillsInitiative when undertaking tasksStrong and proactive work ethicAble to work well both within a team environment and autonomouslyGood staff management skillsCommitted towards undertaking duties efficiently with a strong attention to detailA positive, can-do/will-do attitudePunctual and reliableProfessional personal presentationAwareness of and ability to work in accordance with company Policies and ProceduresKey MeasurablesOngoing Business Development with key clientsProfitable project deliveryOngoing development and training of staff
