This position is central to the Employee Relations Team, providing support to help MACS achieve its goals and maintain legislative compliance. The team assists schools with employment issues, enterprise agreements, contracts, salaries, policies, and training for principals and leaders. The Advisor will deliver high-quality, responsive advice on complex employee relations issues for Catholic schools and Principals, contribute to policy development, and manage complex cases.WHAT YOU WILL DOLead and contribute to the development and improvement of employee relations policies relevant to Catholic schoolsProvide senior-level support and advice within the employee relations teamMaintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including school employers and principalsProvide advocacy services in Fair Work Commission and other tribunals as requiredABOUT YOUExtensive professional experience in contemporary employee relations practice and legislationStrong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively at all levels, and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholdersExperience in employee relations policy development and advanced policy writing skills, with strong attention to detailKnowledge of industrial relations legislation and the ability to acquire knowledge of workers' compensation and related legislationAbility to manage the resolution of workplace issues and complex tasks with minimal supervision, and work to tight timelines in a complex environmentHOW TO APPLYPlease refer to the position description for further details about the role and the Key Selection Criteria.A cover letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria, limited to two pagesNote: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
