As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Security/Telecommunications Technician to join our Rockhampton team. This is a permanent, full-time position, and relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
About the Role: The role offers diverse and challenging work across various sectors, including mining and government, with a focus on the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced electronic security systems. You will be working across multiple sites in the Rockhampton area, performing tasks such as:
Diagnosing and rectifying service breakdowns and faults Conducting general and routine maintenance Undertaking minor project and installation works Providing after-hours service Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electronic security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, Intercom, and Nursecall systems Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair integrated Access Control and IP CCTV systems Perform system inspections, tuning, and testing to diagnose faults Provide end-user training and advise clients on system functionality Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high levels of client satisfaction Participate in continuous learning, with formal and on-the-job training provided About You: The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently and has strong customer service skills. Experience in telecommunications, data, electrical, or a related field is advantageous, as is knowledge in some or all of the following areas:
CCTV and Access Control systems Commercial and integrated security systems IP-based systems Experience with system inspection, tuning, and fault diagnosis If you are looking to expand your skills in a dynamic and growing company, this could be the role for you.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Experience as a Telecommunications Technician, Security Technician, Electrician, or Electronics Technician QLD Security Providers Licence (or ability to obtain) Open Cablers Registration (or willingness to obtain) Current QLD Class C Driver's Licence EWP Certification and Working at Heights (or willingness to obtain) National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain) Legal working rights in Australia without sponsorship Please Note: This is a location-specific role, and FIFO is not offered.
