What we are looking for: We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane CBD team. We are looking for innovative and motivated engineer who is solutions focused. Working alongside or leading a multi-disciplined engineering and design team, you will be responsible for the electrical engineering & design of hydrometallurgical process plants.
As Senior Electrical Engineer: You will be a vital part of our team and will find yourself responsible for but not limited to;
Prepare electrical and instrumentation designs and calculations accordance with relevant Client and Australian StandardsLV and MV design, MCC's, Switchrooms, Switchgear and the design elements for the supporting infrastructureExposure to the configuration and commissioning of Electrical and Control SystemsSpecification and technical document writingManagement and ownership of electrical, instrumentation and controls design in projectsSupport and collaborate with designers to develop designs for a wide range of plant elementsAssist with project delivery outcomes such as scheduling, cost control and procurement activitiesPrepare technical engineering documents as part of the overall project engineering deliverablesTemporary site-based assignments to support construction, commissioning or operating plant activitiesLead by example and provide mentorship to team membersYou will have: Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical Engineering, or equivalentExperience in mineral processing in a design and construction environmentKnowledge of power systems and LV/MV designFunctional safety and hazardous area experience and/or exposure in mining environmentsKnowledge of instrumentation, control systems and communications elements relevant to the delivery of a fully functional plantExperience in stages of project development and delivery (Studies, Engineering & Construction, Commissioning)Understanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standardsExperience with base metals and rare earth minerals is highly advantageousWell-developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey mechanical engineering outcomes with clients, stakeholders and other disciplines as required.Demonstrated ability and genuine enthusiasm to motivate and mentor emerging engineersValid Rights to work in Australia – EssentialHere at DRA, we offer: Competitive salary package with regular market analysisFlexible start and finish times allowing for work life balanceRegular social activities within your team and the DRA Brisbane officeA positive and engaging company culture that celebrates successOpportunities to grow your career as the business growsThe opportunity to work alongside engineering and design excellenceWe value diversity and the benefits it brings to achieving our objectives, enhancing our reputation, and attracting, engaging, and retaining talented people.
