A short-term opportunity is available for Major Projects Canberra to lead the Project Development Team. The role will be pivotal in supporting and co-ordinating the commercial and financial development of the Territories' largest capital works projects. Additionally, they will manage key stakeholder relationships across the Territory, resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes consistent with the strategic direction of Major Projects Canberra.What you will do:Prepare advice to the Executive and Director General on the development and assessment of major infrastructure projects in the Territory.Oversee and coordinate the development of business cases, feasibility studies and related analysis for major infrastructure projects.Provide analysis and advice on the commercial and financial aspects of infrastructure projects.Manage, coordinate, liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders and maintain accurate records of meetings and key outcomes.Eligibility/Other requirements:Highly DesirableRelevant tertiary qualifications complimentary to the role, for example financial, economics, business or other relevant field.Public and private sector experience in business case development, feasibility assessment and commercial analysisExperience in the construction industry or construction related industry.An understanding of construction related business case development and procurement processes.Notes:
This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months, with the possibility of extension up to six months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
