If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the effective and efficient management of floodplains and drainage systems within our city.My client is looking for a Floodplain Management Officer to play a vital role in ensuring the resilience of our city's infrastructure against flooding events.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive flooding and drainage information and advice to the community and stakeholders.Conduct background investigations to facilitate the preparation of drainage designs, considering factors such as flooding and existing infrastructure.Lead investigations and collaborate with senior drainage engineers to update flood-lines and prepare GIS maps.Prepare flood extents and flood level data in electronic and/or hard copy formats for various council departments and community use.Disseminate flooding and drainage-related information to different council sections and the community concerning citywide development projects.Serve as the Quality Assurance (QA) administrator to ensure completion and systematic filing of all necessary documentation for QA auditing requirements.Qualifications and Experience:Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, surveying, or related fields.Extensive practical experience in engineering surveys and minor civil engineering designs, particularly in road and/or drainage works.Proficiency in GIS and computer-aided design software such as Civil CAD, 12D, and AutoCAD.Knowledge and/or experience in land surveying, survey mark management systems, cadastral mapping, and land titles systems.Understanding of flooding, catchment management, drainage design, and investigations.Strong communication skills in a workplace context, with a demonstrated commitment to customer service.Possession of a current Class C driver's license.Familiarity with applicable legislation and regulations.Computer literacy in basic Microsoft Office applications and adaptability to learn corporate applications.Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.If this sounds like you please apply now and join the team in making a positive impact on the community's future!#J-18808-Ljbffr
